Really great atmosphere, super friendly welcome and service. Great to be in a bustling pub with loads of local people enjoying a Friday evening. Nice drinks and a good well priced meal from a sensibly sized menu. We had a lovely walk in the early evening sunshine. Super Dartmoor views and good footpaths. Nice bright and comfortable room with en-suite. Easy access back to the A30 to continue our journey to St Just in the morning.

Charlie the owner made us very welcome and made sure we had evening meals (which were very good!) despite the Inn being busy. The Inn is an old building so don't expect acres of glass and shiny surfaces, it is a bit rustic and we like it that way. Breakfast was a little basic but that was fine with us and it wasn't expensive. Thanks to Charlie and all the staff for a pleasant and friendly stay. 26th Oct 2023. S & J

Lovely pub in a quiet location, perfectly situated for a stop over en route to Cornwall. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was bigger than we expected, and very comfortable. We ate there and the food was good. We had a very good value self-service continental breakfast.

Blue Lion Inn was fabulous and exceeded our expectations. Good price and the room was as described and seen on the website. It was very comfortable and had everything we needed. The choice of beers was really good and the food we had was fantastic,

A great little country pub to stay at for an overnighter. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and dinner was yummy, and the £5 for a basic continental breakfast was perfect for us.

Ideal location for us! The room was clean and modern. Tv has Netflix which is always handy. The shower is lovely and powerful, with toiletries provided. Didn’t hear a sound all night, lovely and quiet.

Ideally located for our needs, the proprietors were very friendly and very kindly let us check in early. The room was clean and nicely decorated. We didn't get a chance to sample the pub's food or drinks but everything was very clean with a nice environment so would have been happy to spend an evening dining there if I had the opportunity. The small breakfast was a lovely touch and greatly welcomed. Would stay again.
