Blue Lion Inn

Straightforward, clean accommodation. Good beers in the pub, and good quality food at a reasobable price.

The Blue Lion was easy to get to, and ideally placed for our particular needs. The room was comfortably spacious and had all that we needed. We had a very hospitable welcome. We had expected that they didn't do breakfast, but they provided a reasonably priced 'do it yourself' option of toast, cereal, fruit and yoghurt. We eat there in the evening, really and enjoyed our meal, and some good local beer. From our perspective this proved a good find.

Charlie the owner made us very welcome and made sure we had evening meals (which were very good!) despite the Inn being busy. The Inn is an old building so don't expect acres of glass and shiny surfaces, it is a bit rustic and we like it that way. Breakfast was a little basic but that was fine with us and it wasn't expensive. Thanks to Charlie and all the staff for a pleasant and friendly stay. 26th Oct 2023. S & J

A great little country pub to stay at for an overnighter. The room was comfortable and clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and dinner was yummy, and the £5 for a basic continental breakfast was perfect for us.
